How to Remove Glider Swivel Base from Chair
Buckeye Rockers, led by Dennis Hershberger and his team, is known for producing some of the finest office and living room chairs in the United States. Each chair is crafted with precision and care, from the kiln-dried solid wood frames built with mortise and tenon joints, to the hand-finished surfaces that resist stains and scratches. Durable, wood-covered steel bases ensure long-lasting support, while high-density foam and expertly upholstered fabric or leather deliver exceptional comfort and quality.

Step 1: Remove Screws
To remove the base from the glider, begin by unscrewing the horizontal four one-inch screws that hold it to the glider hardware.
Step 2: Remove Nuts from Bolts
Afterward, use a drill to remove the flange nuts from the vertical bolts located on the underside of the chair that is fastened to the glider swivel hardware.
Step 3: Lift Chair Off Base
Once everything is loosened, the chair can be carefully lifted off, leaving the base exposed. This may require two people for balance purposes.

When viewed from the correct angle, you can identify the front part of the glider relative to the base for proper reassembly.
